'm pam cook. tori campbell is off. it's monday. april 15th. >>> a man is undergoing a medical evaluation after responding to a berkeley call. we're live on dwight way with alex savidge. >> reporter: police are still trying to sort through why this took place. this was an emergency medical call that for whatever reason turned violent. one berkeley firefighter grazed by a bullet when a man who lives in this house across the street started firing shots at firefighters. this is on the 1200 block of dwight way near san pablo. that firefighter was on the scene and didn't have to go to the hospital. police tell us the shooter is an 88-year-old man. this is video as he was taken away by paramedics for a mental evaluation. there were as many as five berkeley firefighters around 1:45 responding to that medical call when police say the man inside pulled out a gun and started firing shots. one of the firefighters was hit by a bullet but only suffered a glancing wound. the firefighters ran out of the house and police moved in to surround the place. there was a brief standoff between police and this a

of dorchester massachusetts. on tuesday, another victim identified. 29-year-old criskris kris krystle campbell. >> i can't believe this is happening. >> reporter: the third person identified is a boston university graduate student. as for the man police are questioning in the hospital. he was a spectator, he was injured, but not a person of interest. charlie and norah. >> we have john miller, formerueller, former fbi director. >> they are looking at a lot of photographs. a couple of them they have seen they have high interest in. these are photographs that are immediately before the bombings or minutes before the bombings where they see an individual with packages who they think is a possible match for the bomber. with more than one photograph with more than one individual. they are trying to go through digital evidence will we find a picture of our guy. >> this particular photograph people are making note of this morning. it looks like if you look in that area there, it looks like a package in front of the speck spectators. most of the spectators had a blast from the back o

campbell and richard martin were killed. >> reporter: good morning, richard. let's talk about the investigation first. the authorities have been vesting photographs, images from anybody in the public. it appears that is now paying off, perhaps the most successful images coming from a security camera at lord & taylor across the street from the finish line. but those images show what appears to be somebody taking duffel bags and placing them at the spot where the bomb exploded. so there's a major focus of attention on those pictures trying to analyze them to see if they can then lead to who may indeed be a suspect. meantime, as you mentioned the president will be making a visit here to boston for an interfaith memorial service. the president will be joined here by so many bostonians. of course, one of the concerns, security has, because it's another large gathering if somebody would have tried to do something. they've told folks if they're gathering, they may not bring bags, backpacks. they should come with a few things, maybe a phone in their hand, but not much more. that's 11:

to scare and shake the people of boston. good afternoon, i am john sasaki in for tori campbell. two days after the devastation in boston a explosion at a fertilizer plant in texas killed and injured many. it happened at a town near dallas. sal castaneda joins us with more. >> reporter: the explosion is blamed for the deaths of between 5 and 15 people according to authorities. the explosion's violent force was captured in this amateur video. watch closely as it quickly goes from bad to worse. >> -- sure the -- [ explosion ] >> officials say the explosion did not happen until nearly a half-hour after the initial fire. emergency responders already on the scene are among some of the missing feared dead. the scene is in the small community of west, texas, about an hour and a half south of dallas, it is near waco. the fertilizer plant had tank of anhad druse ammon ammonia, today the search continues. >> it is a slow methodical search and they are using every available resource they have to do that correct he and make sure we don't miss anything or anybody. >> today officials say the fire has
